Smart homes — without the silos
Home automation, energy management and assistive technology are often treated as three separate markets. They need not be. I hold a Master’s degree in Assistive Technology and have worked across health, housing and social care, which allows me to connect asset performance with independence, wellbeing and resident experience.
Public-sector experience
My work has included engagement with more than 40 local authorities and participation in programmes recognised by major local-government and health-sector awards. I have worked across housing, local government, social care, health, technology and innovation, including programmes requiring governance awareness and cross-department alignment.
Joining the dots
Energy efficiency can reduce fuel poverty and health risk. Intelligent systems can support independence. Better retrofit planning can improve asset resilience. Integrated technology can improve both operational performance and resident experience. Those outcomes become more achievable when they are designed together.
